Whether you have an asphalt driveway, parking lot or shared roadway it is important that you maintain your ashphalt against the elements every 3-5 years by sealcoating. Doing so regularly will prevent the cycles of melting and freezing water from destroying your ashphalt, protect from harmful UV rays, and keep your asphalt properly sealed.

Sealcoating Process

When the crew arrives, they will ensure vehicles have been moved and let you know they are there.

The StrongArm Sealcoating crew will use a high powered gas blower to remove any loose debris and sweep your asphlat using a heavy duty power broom.

If you have any overgrown bushes, scrubs or ivy they will do their best to go either under or around them. All oil spots or other chemical spills will be treated prior to sealing to prevent futher ashpalt decay. They will also fill problematic cracks with Hot Tar

The StrongArm Sealcoating crew will then apply an asphalt emulsion. It will dry to a black finish and protect your driveway from damage caused by weather, gas, and oil spills.

When the sealcoating is completed, we will block off your asphalt to traffic with barriers until sealcoat as completely cured.

Your driveway will be dry enough for you to walk on in approximately 4-6 hours. It takes approximately 24 hours for the sealer to cure. If cure time is not of great concern we recommend giving high traffic driveways 36 hours cure time.
